Citrobits at the FPGA Conference Munich 2024
Citrobits proudly participated one more year at the FPGA Conference held in Munich. The event, which featured more than a hundred lectures and hosted over 400 participants, is renowned for gathering industry experts, enthusiasts, and innovators from around the globe. It provided a dynamic platform for Citrobits to present its latest advancements and cutting-edge technologies in FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) development.
Citrobits’ stand was a hub of activity, attracting a diverse crowd of attendees eager to learn about the company’s innovative products and solutions. The team showcased a range of applications, from camera and display solutions to high-performance computing and data processing, highlighting the versatility and power of FPGA technology.
A key highlight of Citrobits’ participation was the unveiling of their newest Evaluation Board LVU01, an USB evaluation board that allows easy connection to ARM or x86 Platforms. The FPGA based modules CBM100 and CBM110 were also featured on some of the demos showed at the conference, such as Endoscopy proof of concept demo or multi sensor CSI2 Virtual Channel Aggregation, among others.
Pablo Leyva, founder of Citrobits, was giving the lecture MIPI CSI2 on FPGAs, the unexpected challenges. The presentation was about the challenges that engineers and developers often face when they have to integrate the Camera Serial Interface 2 (CSI-2) standard into FPGA solutions, focusing on AMD (formerly Xilinx) and Lattice FPGAs. By approaching the complexities of CSI-2 protocol, the talk highlighted challenges and optimizations for handling various data types. The discussion was particularly interesting for developers and engineers working in fields such as medical imaging, automotive, and other applications relying on advanced camera and display systems, illustrating the synergy between CSI-2 and state-of-the-art FPGA technologies.
“The FPGA Conference in Munich is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the global FPGA community, share our innovations and collaborate with other industry leaders,” said Pablo Leyva, founder of Citrobits. “We are excited about the positive feedback we received and look forward to continuing our mission to push the boundaries of what is possible with FPGA technology.”
